Zezé is originally from Brazil where he started playing tennis at the age of 10 with his dad. Zeze played the juniors in Brazil and college tennis in Fort Pierce, Florida at Indian River Community College on a full tennis scholarship.

For 18 years Zezé was the Head of Junior and Player Development at the Houston City Club where he implemented and developed the junior program from very few kids to a record number of 845 children in the summer camp of 2015. During the school year the after school program has approximately 190 kids paticipating in group lessons and junior team tennis. In 2016 Zeze coached the City Club 10 and under junior team tennis to the Texas State Championship in Abilene, TX. It was the first title for a City Club junior tennis team.

Now, Zezé has a successful junior program growing at his own Z Junior Tennis Academy and since 2018 he is the Head Coach for the Girls Varsity Team at St. John's School.
